Nestled along the entrance to the beautiful Melville Park and Trails in Portsmouth, RI, the Portsmouth Dog Park is a special place where dog owners can let their furry pals romp off-leash in a friendly and safe environment. The Portsmouth Dog Park is made possible thanks to the generous contributions of donors and volunteers in the community. It has been such a grass-roots success that construction is about to begin on a project to expand the park's footprint, increasing parking and add lighting to provide access from sundown to 8pm in the winter months.
